Tip of the day: Always say thank you for a compliment.
I sometimes hear people say that one of their communication weaknesses is not taking compliments well. This issue may be the easiest communication or social skills weakness to fix there is.
Taking a compliment well is a skill that is not difficult to learn. It doesn't have to be a weakness for you.
When someone gives you a compliment of any kind, don't disagree with it or explain it away. Refusing to acknowledge a compliment is not a sign of humility. Say thank you and move on.
Don't be the type of person who doesn't take compliments well. It is just not very mannerly.
