I love this topic. This is going to be good.
My first tip is the foundation of my entire program. The next 100 tips will all be connected to this one in some way. Here it is:
MINGLE TIP #1: HAVE A "HANG OUT" MINDSET
Here are some thoughts:
(1) The hang out, casual mindset is the absolute key to being successful in social situations. When you have a "hang out" mindset, you immediately take pressure off whatever it is that you are doing. You aren't trying to impress anyone. You aren't trying to look cool. You will also eliminate that creepy "hitting on" vibe.
(2) The hang out mindset works in any social situation. At a party? You are just hanging out. In a job interview? Just hanging out. Talking to a beautiful woman or handsome man? Just hanging out. You get the idea. . You are just hanging out, being yourself. Whatever happens happens.
(3) Having a hang out mindset doesn't mean that you get sloppy. You can do your best to be professional, civilized, mannerly, etc. but you will not let yourself put too much pressure on the situation. There are few, if any, social situations that are worth selling yourself out and trying to be someone you aren't.
If you have be constantly reminding yourself that you are just hanging out, so be it. Keep that thought in the front of your thinking. So relax and just hang out. And see what happens.
My discovery of this simple sounding concept totally unlocked the door to the mystery of social success for me. I will get into more depth about this topic in future blogs. This is going to be good. 100 left.
